I stayed at donnybrook hall for one night . it was very welcoming and friendly the food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for you I would definitely recommend this place I hope to return to it again for a city break it also was very reasonable and very clean definitely a great place to stay and handy for city centre.
I have no complaints about donnybrook hall will be recommending it to other people.
An absolutely wonderful staff! Very very accommodating and warm. They really care about your stay in Dublin. Big bonus for the delicious breakfast every morning! I really can't say enough about Terry and his staff,Precious and Martina.
Well this isn't the fault of Donnybrook but Ireland doesn't get much snow and as such they don't shovel snow!!! Buy some shovels people please!!!
I thought the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. It was nice on arrival to be offered a cup of tea, biscuits and sweets. The breakfasts were wonderful - you could have anything you liked to eat (and more). The tables were set so pretty for breakfast - you know it was like home from home - well at home I do not have flowers on the table so it beat me there. The room was very comfortable and Terry made sure we got all the information we asked for. I would certainly recommend the Donnybrook to anyone visiting Dublin. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but only a ten minute bus journey away.
Only a small critisism - more shower gel could be provided.
Kind receptionist who made my fathers stay peaceful and easy.
excellant stay at donnybrook hall welcoming friendly people good quality ensuite rooms and just short bus ride from dublin centre and attractions.
The staff at Donnybrook hall are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble, from ensuring your breakfast selection from a huge range of custom- cooked options, to changing breakfast timing to meet the need for an early deparfture,
Chose this hotel primarily for location as we have family close by. It did not disappoint. Room was small but adequate. Decoration perhaps old fashioned but in keeping with the building. Everything very clean, bed comfortable. But what takes this place above the norm is Terry and his staff. They could not have made us more welcome and the breakfast choice and service was superb. Very happy to return.
Friendly staff who were eager to provide a good service. Comfortable room and good breakfast. Near to an excellent restaurant and an easy drive into Dublin city centre.
Only on street parking available.
Top class place to stay in Dublin close to ucd and city centre. Highly recommended.
The staff at Donnybrook Hall were really lovely very helpful. We arrived early and were welcomed by Anthony with a most welcome pot of tea and biscuits. The room was just right and breakfast was perfect. We found the location ideal as it was close to public transport into the city of Dublin.
Very pleasant and helpful staff / owner. Good quality of decoration and equipment. Nice breakfast.
The size of our room was our only negative.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and we instantly felt at home. The room was comfortable and very clean and the breakfast each morning was superb!
It's a bit of a walk into the city centre. We caught the bus a couple of times in the evening when we were too tired to walk back. But mostly it didn't bother us too much, we could get to St. Stephen's Green in under half an hour and the buses are frequent.
very friendly staff, good value for the money, recommendable for everybody
The location was great. The welcome, warm room and voucher for a local excellent restaurant (The Tenors) was a lovely touch.
Not exactly a dislike, but thought it was funny that cornflakes, weetabix etc was referred to as an appetiser for breakfast, I know its Dublin 4, but c'mon. :-)
